I've had a 650 Dakar, so not exactly the same, but similar enough. One thing... The 650 Rotax engine is pretty much bullet proof. I've never had any issues with it starting and running the distance. And with the mileage you've quoted, it's only properly run in now and will give many times that more without much hassles.
Depending on your size (and pillion's) the 650 may be a bit small for longer journeys. Not only ito cruising speed, but the amount of luggage you can take along. Nonetheless, if seen it done many times.
If the bike's condition is good, with good service history, then I think the price is good. And this is ideal for starting out and finding your feet, so to speak, before considering upgrading to something more geared for long distance travel, if that's your thing....
