Thanks a lot to everybody who worked together as a team to make the GS ride to The Bronx near Bronkhorstspruit a memorable one! The gravel road next to the railway line was churned up a lot after a large bike race by the plastics and it was not easy. A lot of courage was shown, both in riding the gravel and also in deciding to stop riding.

The gravel did lead to a few spills and unfortunately an injury. Our thoughts are with Elaine who broke her leg and needs an operation on Thursday I think.

We did pick up a new (soon to be club member I think!) on the way so we were 25 bikes and 27 people. Hanli is the lady with the Ghana T-shirt.

The team at The Bronx surprised us with watermelon and shade that was wonderful after the heat. Fun was had in the dark forest with the sand goblins! Winston, our elder, joined the youngsters in the forest and had a big smile afterwards!

Die Stoep in Bronkies had good food and lpeople with ots of patience with us, we left after their official closing time of 15:00!

Thanks for the pictures everybody!

Gustav Scholtz jy is 'n yster! Baie dankie vir die Sweep duties (and there were many!). Willem Nordeje, Andries Haasbroek (who was everywhere, ferrying bikes and people), Morag Campbell (who really pitched in and ride bikes through the difficult gravel), Egbert Olivier (who was also everywhere and kept the comms going), Sandra Scholtz for the pics and too many names to mention. Thanks a million to all of you! A real team effort!
