WOW!! WHAT A TURN OUT
A morning that everybody thought was going to be bitterly cold at 7 degree's and rain forecasted, turned out to be warmer than expected. A big surprise awaited me as I arrived at the BP Garage to see the turn out of a large group, it was most over whelming as I truly thought I was going to have a small group due to the cold weather. 30 Motorbikes, 44 riders which consisted of 7 guests,
8 pillions, and a suprising number of 8 Lady Riders (NICE) and the balance were our 21 Men Riders.
Once we arrived on the R42 it was a quick re-group, and then a couple of us had a blast a long the way, unfortunately heading back on the R50 the ride was a little slower than expected due to traffic, but we all arrived at the Ridgeway Race Bar without loosing a rider on the turns which was pleasing.
It was great excitment to get the riders inside to experience something very different, but something was missing which was such a disappointment, and that was, no waiteress dressed in motorsport jump suits, they just were'nt there. SORRY GUYS
Once we were all seated the waitors attended to us quickly and presented our V6 and V8 hamburgers with a smile.
A BIG THANK YOU to all, you were an AWESOME group with great camaraderieship
Thank you to the rides committe members for your support and to Morne helping me with the maps.
Abe, as always, you did a great job being my sweep.
SEE YOU NEXT TIME
