Our group consisting of, 23 motorcyclists, three pillions and three guests, departed at 7:20 from BP Centurion.
The temperature was a cool 14°C and rose to a moderate 22°C towards the end of the trip.
We started in a 5knt wind which picked up to about 18knts along the way, but it didn’t bother as it were mostly a tailwind. Things changed drasticly as we approached Klerkskraal dam, with direction changes we now experienced very strong side-winds, causing for some interesting riding angles and styles, but the riders handled everything the wind could through them like pros.

We were riding in a staggered formation, and I rarely before experienced riders so structured, none of the usual zig-zag ridings was needed to fix the staggered formation because someone advance, fall back or push in. Everyone behaved and kept positions for the entire trip.
After 125km, we had a short pitstop at Diggers-inn for a drink or coffee, and to stretch our legs or go for a tinkle. The hostess was amiable and told us, some weekends they have a bikers breakfast at R40pp which they set up under the trees on the shore of the farm dam.
It’s a beautiful venue to visit every so often with your friends for breakfast or lunch..

We left Diggers-inn just before 10 AM by which time we were a little thin in the middle and looking forward to a big breakfast. We arrived at Momento and received a friendly welcome from the staff dressed in Xmas outfits. The owner reserved us a very nice and cozy private area with seating for about 34 people. We had a beautiful view over the dam, breakfast was delicious, and one could eat much as you like.

We were a great bunch of gents and ladies, and it seemed everyone enjoyed the day, the ride, the breakfast and company, I am sure many participants will revisit this excellent venue.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated, making it a fabulous day, and special thanks to my sweep, RC.
